FDX ASICS Tiger Blue Extreme Cold Weather Boots

Description

These blue FDX boots are one of the standard boot options issued to US Antarctic Program scientists and personnel deploying to the South Pole, McMurdo Station, and other parts of Antarctica. These boots are manufactured by an Australian company, ASICS.

Often described as the warmest option available to USAP personnel, they are popular for deep-field research and can be more comfortable than the solid-rubber Bunny Boots. These boots are all field-worn from multiple seasons’ service in Antarctica, but we have checked to ensure that they are all intact, functional, and ready to keep a new owner’s feet (exceptionally) warm!

CONDITION:

Please note that all the boots, regardless of condition, show moderate to severe fading. All boots will include boot liners, which we have matched to boot size to the best of our ability. All liners may have rips or tears, whatever condition of boot is purchased.

Very Good: These boots show relatively mild wear and tear. Laces, straps, and buckles will all be present and in good condition.

Good: These boots show moderate wear and tear. Laces, straps, and buckles will all be intact and usable, although they may have been replaced or show some damage.

Fair: These boots show moderate to severe wear and tear, including splits in the exterior boot lining. Laces, straps, and buckles may be missing, cut, or need to be replaced.

GUARANTEE :
This website sells parkas, clothing, and gear which have been retired from the United States Antarctic Program. All have seen service in one or more of the three American Antarctic research stations, unless specified otherwise in the product’s description. As such, they will show some degree of wear/tear/use.
