This Snow Goose parka entered service in 1999. There parka shows a variety of stains, and is heavily faded. One well-done repair can be seen on the parka’s back.
Did you know that each Big Red used by the USAP program has a serial number written on the inside flap of one of the pockets? This serial number, used to help the program keep track of their gear, usually includes the parka size and the year it entered service.
