This Snow Goose parka entered service in 1999. There is the remnant of a field patch on one of the sleeves, as well as a very slight, almost invisible stain. The reflector shows a little bit of wear/tear, and the parka is mildly faded.
Did you know that each Big Red used by the USAP program has a serial number written on the inside flap of one of the pockets? This serial number, used to help the program keep track of their gear, usually includes the parka size and the year it entered service.
