Traditionally placed on the breast pocket of official “Big Red” parkas and jackets, it represents the legacy of those who’ve braved the world’s harshest conditions.
The patch proudly displays the United States Antarctic Program (USAP) logo, featuring an outline of Antarctica with meridians converging on the South Pole. Interestingly, the USAP logo design later inspired Canada Goose to create their “Arctic Program” patch, seen on their popular civilian parkas.
