This vintage Snow Goose parka entered service in 1996. As an extra small parka, this is very unusual.
There is a small visible repair on one sleeve and another on the back of the parka. One of the seams on the front is opening a little bit. A few stains show on the front of the parka, and it is mildly faded.
The refurbishment of this parka includes (but is not limited to):
- Hood wire replacement
- Cuff replacement
- Field patch removal & repair
- Dry cleaned
Did you know that each Big Red used by the USAP program has a serial number written on the inside flap of one of the pockets? This serial number, used to help the program keep track of their gear, usually includes the parka size and the year it entered service.
